국수나무

국수나무(Stephanandra incisa (Thunb.) Zabel)
가지를 잘라 세로로 찢으면 황갈색의 굵은 골속이 국수를 닮았고, 껍질을 잘 벗기면 국수같은 하얀 줄기가 나와 국수나무라고 불리게 되었다고 한다.

가느다란 줄기는 싸리나무 대용으로  농기구인 삼태기나 바지기 재료로 사용되었다는 기록도 있다.
비슷한 이름의 나무로는   나도국수나무, 산국수나무, 섬국수나무, 중산국수나무, 금강국수나무 등도 있다.

It is said that when you cut a branch and tear it lengthwise, the yellow-brown thick bone inside resembles a noodle, and when you peel it well, a white stem like a noodle emerges, which is why it is called the noodle tree.

There are also records showing that the thin stem was used as a material for Samtaegi or Bajigi, which are agricultural tools, as a substitute for the bush linden tree.
Trees with similar names include Nado-guksu tree, San-guksu tree, Seom-guksu tree, Jungsan-guksu tree, and Geumgang-guksu tree.
